Details

The Medium – Stirring tragedy with passionate, lovable music by the composer of "Amahl and the Night Visitors." Performed by a cast of soprano, mezzo-soprano, contralto, and baritone, this short opera is a simple story with enormous psychological overtones: Madame Flora, a fraudulent medium, begins to believe her own deceptions and has a nervous breakdown after she feels a cold hand touch her during a séance.

The cast includes Sue Makovkin as Baba (the medium), Abigail Rowland as Monica, Dan Fowler as Mr. Gobineau, Jenni Windsor as Mrs. Gobineau, Betsy Taylor as Mrs. Nolan, and Lisa Norman as Toby. Jerry Greenberg serves as stage director, Richard Goodman as music director, and Jack Leung as pianist.

Jewish Humor from Oy to Veh – Light fare that will entertain and tickle everyone's funny bone, this mini opera is based on folk tales. Performed by a cast of soprano, mezzosoprano, tenor, and baritone accompanied by piano, this selection of dramatized Jewish jokes includes Overture, Ages of Man, Francise, Futility, Thirst, Questionnaire, In the Cards, Hopeless, The Time, Identity, Prayer, True Love, Bed and Breakfast, Man Wanted, Cosmic Conundrum, Prospects, Deduction, Rarity, Wisdom, and Onions.

The cast includes Jary Stavely, Richard Goodman, Susan Pennebaker, and Sarah Wagner in various roles. Jerry Greenberg serves as stage director, Richard Goodman as music director, and Jack Leung as pianist.
